Baptism is a simple ceremony of washing in water as practised by Christians since the time of Jesus. It demonstrates our turning away from sin and turning towards God – a public declaration of our faith in Jesus and our decision to follow him.

Why get baptised?

The simplest reason is that Jesus tells us to (Matthew 28:19). Baptism symbolises on the outside what Jesus has already done for us on the inside spiritually. Through Jesus we have had our sins forgiven, they have been washed away. Accordingly the use of water in baptism symbolises this forgiveness and new life that we have in, and with, Christ.

Baptism is for those who have placed their trust in Jesus and for their children. If that’s you and you are interested in baptism please get in contact with one of the ministry staff.
